Our project managers interview our clients and find out their needs in their kitchen. This is the first part of the process, as each one of us uses his kitchen differently. Some of us cook, some bake….some like privacy, some like to entertain in the kitchen. Classic or modern our 3D design will help you decide which way is best for you. This is step 2 as we will include all the different elements that construct a beautiful kitchen as well as fit the design to the style of your home. The 3rd step will be choosing the right materials for you. This will include trips to tile stores, slab yards and our carpentry to demonstrate the different materials available. The variety is so large these days that we will list only some of the possibilities:

Kitchen Flooring
Lately we have been installing hardwood floors in many of our Kitchens. Aesthetically this is a wonderful choice as your kitchens elegancy will sparkle with hardwood or
engineered flooring. Practically this would not be our number one choice as hardwood flooring is delicate and not water resistant, the kitchen floor should bare high foot traffic
and liquid spillage. Unfortunately hardwood flooring will not last long enough to out run the kitchen cabinets or countertop and will have to be sanded or replaced at some point in the future.

The number one most durable material for the kitchen floor will be Porcelain tile with minimum grout lines. This will be the strongest most water resistant material that will
require little or no maintenance on your behalf. Today there are millions of different Porcelain tile designs and colors, some even look like wood…this will be an efficient
way to savior your investment and expect a long lasting floor that will look new for years to come

Laminate flooring is the Cinderella story of the kitchen flooring. This material which has proven its durability through out is remarkably priced the lowest of all materials of such endurance. Laminate flooring is both strong and water resistant more then any other wood like material. It is easy to install and provides the most cost efficient solution for your kitchen floor.

Kitchen Walls
Our clients are always amazed at the amount of work that is done on their kitchen walls and ceilings. Part of the remodeling design includes your electricity and plumbing needs. Electrical work will include lighting, plugs and appliance connection and start up. Lighting options are reviewed with our project manager as there are endless options from recess lighting, pendant lighting, ceiling fixtures, sconces through under cabinet lighting, LED lighting, in cabinet lighting, chandeliers and skylights. GFI plugs are required by the cities in California as some require 4 pin florescent (such as cities of Thousand Oaks, Whittier and Fullerton) or an occupancy sensor installed.

All appliances are installed by certified installers and we can accommodate for such high end installations as Viking and Thermador appliances.

Your plumbing needs will be met to the highest quality of craftsmanship and materials. All of your kitchen plumbing will be replaced with copper piping. Your garbage disposaland dishwasher will be installed by certified professionals, and pass our start-up test.

After all internal work is done to your walls we will patch your kitchen walls and ceiling and will prime and paint to your choice of color and paint brand. Texturing your walls is also an option.

Kitchen Cabinetry
The main feature in a new kitchen is by far the cabinetry. Cabinetry will usually dictate the need to a kitchen remodel and the style of the new kitchen along with the color scheme. The manufacturing of cabinetry is an art by itself. In the old days most of the kitchen cabinetry boxes were constructed of pressed wood and covered with melamine, These materials were not as durable to water and humidity and the hinges connection usually broke loose after a while. These cabinets did not have a back board to them, a feature which endures the strength and durability of the cabinet.

Neptune Constructions basic featured cabinets are constructed of solid wood with finished paneling, stained or painted to fit your design needs. We use only the highest grade of European extractable hinges and self closing railing for your doors and drawers. The cabinet doors and drawers are solid wood custom designed and constructed to your kitchen. The selves, crown molding, toe kick, cornices, columns and all other architectural features are solid wood and custom stained to fit your kitchen color scheme.
